Men + Women = one human race.
United 4 Equality, LLC, believes equal citizenship for women within the United States should be given, but it's not.
After all, women do everything that men do and more yet they remain 2nd class citizens under the U.S. Constitution. As with any contract: marriage, business, home ownership, etc..., if it isn't in writing, it isn't formally recognized or enforceable.
We launched the ERA 2015 campaign in 2009 by proposing congressional joint resolutions to eliminate Congress's deadline for ratification of a women's bill of rights to the U.S. Constitution - aka the Equal Rights Amendment.
The Equal Rights Amendment would guarantee that the law applies equally to men and women.
Our bills debuted in 2011 (U.S. House) and 2012 (U.S. Senate) and were reintroduced in 2013. We've garnered the support of 1/4 of the House and 1/3 of the Senate.
We strive to prove that citizens can successfully petition government for transformative change and win!
We are determined to fulfill Dr. Alice Paul's legacy who authored the ERA in 1921 and worked for its passage until her death in 1977. Building upon the near victory in the 1970s, we will resume the process for three more states so that all women become equal partners in society.
