Men + Women = one human race. The Equal Rights Amendment is for All. Get Informed  It states: Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex. The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) is a federal guarantee that equal rights under law applies to all women and men wherever they live in the United States. To amend the US Constitution requires the approval of 2/3 of the US House, 2/3 of the US Senate and 3/4 of the states (38 states). The ERA was ratified by 2/3 of Congress in 1972 and 35 out of the required 38 states by 1977. The Equal Rights Amendment must be ratified by three (3) more states before the amendment will be added to our Constitution. Take Action  Urge Congress to take immediate action to lift their deadline for ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment. |
