Men + Women = one human race.
Equal rights for all women under the US Constitution does not exist.
FACT: Women are 2nd class citizens with limited rights to petition our government for policies, programs and practices that would further our interests and those of working families.
WHY? Because the Equal Rights Amendment (to end disparate treatment of women) was obstructed by Congress when the ERA was just 3 states shy of victory.
As with any contract: marriage, business, home ownership, employment, if it isn't in writing in America's social contract, it isn't legally recognized or enforceable.
We launched the ERA 2015 campaign in 2009 by proposing congressional joint resolutions to eliminate Congress's deadline for a women's bill of rights to the U.S. Constitution and secure the final 3 states' approvals needed.
The Equal Rights Amendment would guarantee that whether you are male or female, the law applies equally to all human beings.
Our bills debuted in 2011 (U.S. House) and 2012 (U.S. Senate) and were reintroduced in 2013 as SJR 15 and HJR 113. We've garnered the support of 1/3 of the House and 1/3 of the Senate.
We are living proof that socially responsible business can spearhead transformative policies and win!
We are determined to fulfill Dr. Alice Paul's legacy who authored the ERA in 1921 and worked for its passage up until her death in 1977.
We won't rest until all women become equal partners in American society and around the world.
