United 4 Equality, LLC (U4E) is a woman-owned social justice enterprise based in Washington, DC that is solely committed to the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) by 2015.
U4E is made up of a network of grassroots volunteers and supporters across the US and within the 15 not-yet-ratified states that continue to work to pass this federal amendment in their state legislatures today.
Many members of Congress hope that women will quietly go back to the starting line though we are merely 3 states short of victory. U4E thinks that is absurd.
Sex discrimination must qualify for the same legal protections as now exist for discrimination on the basis of race, religion and national origin. Women and girls will continue to suffer disparate treatment in our society until ERA is ours. We cannot afford to wait any longer. We have an economy to recover and cannot do so if 50% of our population is ignored.
U4E exists to represent the 35 states who already voted YES to the Equal Rights Amendment and ensure their support isn't forfeited. We actively aid campaigns within the 15 not-yet-ratified states through organizing, financing and publicizing their efforts to become the 36th, 37th and 38th state needed to complete the ratification process.
United 4 Equality's ERA 2015 campaign encourages philanthropists, corporations and the general public to prioritize this critical, contemporary public policy reform measure as a component of their social justice investment portfolio. U4E welcomes monetary gifts and bequests of any size to be used as income for our work. A limited supply of customized products are also available for purchase.
