Girls Empowerment Groups

Girls Voices, Girls Choices ( 8-week session; 2 hours each meeting) Group size: 8 - 10 girls.

Eight-week facilitated themes focus on the challenges and triumphs of being a girl. Each two-hour session will encourage the girls to communicate their thoughts and feelings through peer dialogue and individual creative expression.

Discussions and activities will:

• address and overcome challenges in teen friendships such as exclusion, intolerance, and feuding.

• confront relational aggression.

• Develop strong interpersonal skills.

• Increase caring and competence in a fun, safe and supportive atmosphere.
